Pianos popping up in Lloyd
A new downtown revitalization project, Tunes on the Town, is looking to combine public art and music. Two donated pianos will be put to use as "pop-up pianos", which will be moved throughout the downtown area and city facilities.The idea came from part of the #DTlloyd public engagement.

Lloydminster residents are being asked to get involved with the downtown this summer by using the hashtag #DTlloyd on Twitter & Instagram. Each person who uses the hashtag will be entered to win $100 of downtown dollars. Read about it here.

The Downtown Collective Revitalization team presented their findings at the Streetscapes Annual General Meeting at the end of March. Reviewing infastructure, & existing assets helps to determine what's missing, and what needs imporovement. Read more about it here.

Musicians in the city will soon have another performance space in the downtown core of the city. In a partnership with Streetscapes, the City of Lloydminster recently acquired two pianos donated from local residents.

A downtown revitalization project has been initiated by the City of Lloydminster. This multi-year project is comprised of three unique areas of focus that will culminate in a collective vision and strategic achievable actions to sustain and enhance the vitality of our downtown.
